What I mean is...Don't be lazy and slam the hood down or push on it with your hands, etc... I think I read somewhere that the underhood temps (ambient air) of the Z32 could be around 160 deg. WHILE driving. Then after shutoff, with the hood closed, the ambient underhood temps could be 190+ degrees. I make my own beef jerky in an oven at 155 deg. for ~5 hrs. I see what it does to beef, so I can only guess what it may do to soft rubber and electrical parts AFTER 10+ YEARS. Also, consider security precautions and not drawing too much attention. Like me tonite, a cop pulls up and starts asking me 20 questions, beginning with, "are you broke down?". So SOMETIMES, not very often, I don't bother to open it. THINK LONG TERM...
